Summary
The most signficant health and safety regulations affecting the construction industry are changing. From April 2007, the new Construction (Design and Management) Regulations will come into force. These will have a significant impact on the construction industry. There will be question and answer sessions after each discussion.
Who will be speaking at the seminar?
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), NHBC and Bob Sayers from Redrow plc will be discussing the health and safety issues affecting the industry at the moment, particularly the new CDM regulations.
Key speakers are:
Simon Mantle NHBC Health and Safety Manager: Simon joined NHBC Health and Safety in 1996 shortly after NHBC established their Health and Safety business. He is a chartered builder and has a wealth of experience in construction project management.
HSE speakers: Rosi Edwards, Head of Operations, Wales, Midlands and South West and Justine Lee, HM inspector of H&S Construction Division will lead on the majority of the HSE sessions. Jim Skilling, HM Principal Inspector, Edinburgh will lead at our Falkirk seminar.
Bob Sayers, Health and Safety Director, Redrow plc: Bob has been involved in health and safety for over 30 years, including working for a number of contractors within construction. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), Vice Chair of the IOSH Construction Specialist Group, member of the Senior Safety Advisors Group and Home Builders Federation H&S Forum an on the editorial panel of the Construction H&S Manual.
